Cheap but still strong

I was a little apprehensive when I first saw this set in its packaging. The supplied line look truly dreadful and as if it will part under its own weight.
However, after getting it set up we tested it by lifting a 16inch Land Rover steel wheel (75Lb/34Kg).
It worked!
Next test was two wheels – 150Lb/68Kg
This was getting interesting!
Next test was the two steel wheels plus two alloy wheels – 280Lb/127Kg.
Not full capacity by any means and quite a bit of effort was needed to loft the load but lift it the set did and without any problems other than the line being quite thin to grip.
Gloves are essential I would say – We did not try without any as destruction ‘testing’ of skin is painful!
Does the job. Packs away small. Handy to have.

Ideal all in one rescue tow kit.
Second one of these I have bought from this vendor.
The 1st is a permanent resident in my ageing 110 and has seen a variety of uses including moving caravans, trailers, a concrete mixer and as a safety steady to assist a winching operation.
Complete with shackles & gloves (which are not brilliant but they survived the 1st uses well enough). Packs away nicely in its own drawstring bag (useful to kneel on when the ground is stony or slippery)
More than strong enough to shift anything that the Land rover can pull. Shackles suite any road legal tow ball, pin or shackle point that I have come across.
Obtained the second one for a lady friend who has just got her 1st Discovery and she is more than happy with how easily it packed away after trying it on the various tow points on her vehicle.
Ideal as an addition to any more serious winching and recovery carried by an off-roader but also ideal for the 'condom' *eventuality for the more staid driver/user.
*(Better to have and not need than to need and not have)
