Stick with the best
1 of 1 found this helpful I considered the purchase of an aftermarket heater core, but after reading multiple reviews of the cheaper parts failing after a month or up to one year, I decided to go with what was originally manufactured for my vehicle. On my truck this is an 8 hour job to replace the core. The last thing I want to do is to that same job again within the next year or so. The OEM part goes thru tougher testing and is designed to last a long, long time past any extended warranty because it is labor intensive to replace it. The aftermarket parts don't have as strict manufacturing guidelines and only have to get past a very short warranty period.
Yes, OEM costs more but that's for a reason. IT'S THE BEST!

A great alternative to the pricier FSP items. I have used these before and have never had a short life span from them.
