Great SDI cross-Converter for HDMI/ HD-SDI to HD-SDI
Product is reliable and a great alternative to the more expensive models of this type of scaler, up-down and cross coverter. Works propperly as intended. Dip switches could be a little more accessible as switches on right and left are slightly covered by the framing. Power supply comes with a new purchase, as well as the differing plugs depending upon the country you use. A big plus.

NOS legacy stock on TAYO YUDEN blank DVDs still worth a purchase.
This is an older stock of media, but kept well and preserved for limited use. These DVDs were intended for professional use and not sold in stores. This older (NOS) stock was also made in Japan under more strict procedures, hence will hold up for a long time. I prefer them to the newer stock as long as they are kept in a good environment, such as climate controlled storage. These were originally sold a decade ago as having a near 50+ year life. New stock i snow made in Taiwan. Not sure if they are made any longer in Japan.

A Legacy capture card works as well as the day it was purchased new.
Whether you buy a new AJA video capture board or use/purchase an older legacy board, AJA stands behind their products, past and present.
AJA engineering of their video capturing devices are impeccable. I work in the broadcast industry, and we use AJA products old and new, and they still offer support for their legacy products as well as the new products we use.
I have personally never seen a bad AJA product, old or new. Their prices are a bit higher than the competition, but as the old saying goes, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"! The extra price for me means a better product lasting a lot longer than the competition, AND MORE RELIABLE TOO!
If we are in a live broadcast TV Production capturing the moment, we never have to second guess on our content being recorded properly with AJA. It will be there! Truly AJA is a legacy product and legendary for the BEST performance of video capturing. Why trust any other brand, when AJA is in the mix.
