Walthers Alaska RR Log Crain
It's OK. Not the best detail, the cable and log holder are a little funky, but after weathering it, putting some workers on it and adding some log cuttings on the front of the car, it looks halfway decent. QC went to lunch when this car came down the line. The lettering on one side of the car was fine, the other, slightly askew. Not a big deal, but someone in manufacturing should have been checking it out. It does come with metal wheels and decent trucks, knuckle couplers, not Kadee. For it's intended use, it's OK.

No Center Printing . . .
Philips makes a good product. The discs are dependable. The big flaw? You cannot print to the center of the disc. The seller in this case did not indicate this. I forgot that a few manufactures still make their discs this way. I don't recommend these discs if you want to the center printing. This is why I won't recommend them and I don't think that they are the best value.

The trees as they come out of the zip like plastic bags look OK. They are all the same color and have a plastic sheen to them. I will mount them into a Styrofoam board to spray them with rubbing alcohol, then a matte finish spray and let dry. This will dull the finish, turn them all upside down and spray hairspray on the underside, while wet, sprinkle dark ground cover material on wet sticky surface, add some more as I can to the interior of the tree and then spray the top of the tree and add one or two similar ground cover materials on top. This will give the trees some definition. When planted randomly, no even spacing between trees, no straight lines of trees, mixed with other trees, they will be fine.
