You can get different effects with coarse clump foliage or with fiber clusters. They come in different colors to make different trees and different seasons. I pre-painted the trunks in more realistic colors before adding foliage. Clump foliage is a little harder to work with.

I use this as ground cover forest floors. Just crush it in your hand and sprinkle on. Add clump foliage, etc for a complete scene, and then trees.

It is a well detailed kit. This is not an easy kit to assemble, and requires a reasonable skill level. the final product is worth the effort.
