Works great!
This webcam does exactly what I need. Installed easily and works well. Can attach to a monitor or stand alone, and small enough to fit between a monitor and keyboard. Its microphone works well over Zoom and Skype, as well as for voice commands and dictation to my PC.

Great performance, sonics a little strange
The performance is extraordinary, maybe the best there is of Sym. No. 4.
The audio is somewhat different from most modern recordings and may require some adjustment on your stereo/surround system for best results. Bass, while present, is somewhat lacking when played at moderate volume. The situation can be rectified either by tone controls/equalization or simply by playing at high volume. In other words, one has to make a special effort to play this CD with acceptable balance.
The other unusual characteristic of the audio affects mostly the non-surround, standard CD, simple stereo track, in which there is very little stereo spread. The SACD surround tracks are fine but may require special attention to your receiver's settings. I found that the default setting on my receiver, which does well with most SACD surround recordings, did not provide a satisfactory soundstage, with most of the sound being too focused on the center speaker. Receivers will vary, of course, but the thing I found very helpful on mine was to select "Multi-in + Dolby Surround," the addition of Dolby making a huge difference.
After making all the aforementioned adjustments the sound was spectacular, but I would prefer a recording that played well without having to fuss around.

Heft without ponderousness in the Fifth. The Third and Seventh, not so good.
Solti's touch with Beethoven tends to be too heavy-handed and romanticized for me, and this turned out to be exactly the case with Symphonies Nos. 3 and 7. I bought the set, however, because of critical acclaim for the performance of No. 5, which has heft without ponderousness--gravitas balanced with propelled spirit. For the Beethoven symphonies in general, I recommend the recordings by George Szell. While you can't go wrong with his complete set with the Cleveland Orchestra, it's also worth seeking out individual recordings with different orchestras. For example, a performance superior to this one of Solti's is Szell's with the Vienna Philharmonic in the 1969 Salzburg Festival.
Getting back to this Solti, note that this is one of his earlier recordings, dating from 1958. (Note that the year 2001 mentioned in the description is the date of the current re-release, not that of the original recording.) The performances here are more dynamic than his later ones with the Chicago Symphony, and you won't be giving up much in terms of sonics; the digital remastering from original master tapes is really quite fine, and the result is better than some current recordings, in spite of the latter's greater technological advantages.
