Southwest Archery Spyder XL Takedown Recurve Bow

Very nice bow!!

It is a light, well finished, smooth drawing and feeling bow. Great bang for your buck. I like the Southwest Archery Spyder XL Takedown Recurve Bow over the very popular Samick Sage for several reasons: 1. It is a cleaner finished bow; no edges, making it very comfortable. 2. The aesthetics are great, nice colour and the limb pocket is curved, not like you slap on a block of metal. 3. It comes in Xl for those like me who are over 28", almost 29". It is still not for long draw persons though. I advise to change the string to a Fast Flight or Flemish since the included one is basic; expected for the price.

Solid and well made

All metal construction, which adds to the weight but makes it more stable when using and definitely a plus for build quality. Sharpening implements are nice and thick which should give many, many uses before wearing out. Hex socket fastenings makes this tool self serviceable; once Lansky provides the parts such as the tips, this can last a lifetime.
