Works well as a dock and adds outputs not directly available
The dock only works with a powersupply connectd, and appears to use a USB hub for all of the USB outputs, and a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport to get two outputs out of a single interface. The rest of the outputs connect directly.
It works well for having a single interface for connect the charger and all of the outputs available directly on the laptop, as well as others not directly available, like Ethernet. The throughput is quite high, with video, USB, and Ethernet each having their own buses.
