EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND VALUE!!
1 of 1 found this helpful Purchased this product over a month ago and have waited to give a comprehensive review. Have always used the "Golden- colored" A&D ointment; but, it is priced way-high in the stores now; so, I tried this. It was a great decision. In comparison, this product is colorless, has a pleasant lavender-oil odor and is different in its viscosity. It also contains lanolin. I think that it may also contain some Zinc. It's thicker; not axle-greasy like the Golden A&D. It doesn't smear or transfer onto your clothing, etc. once it is applied. It comes in a clean, sterile container with a screw-on lid. Also has a foil seal, to keep the contents sanitized and "safe" indefinitely. You could buy this product in quantity as it can easily be shelf-stored for long periods of time.
The best comparison I can give is to a product named "Mink Oil" which I used years ago. It is smooth and stays put where applied. Seals and coats the skin and maintains a protective coating for many hours. Does not dissolve and dissipate into the skin like the Golden A&D product. Promotes new skin growth and soothes any discomfort.
Personally, I had a "SEVERE" skin rash-- origin and name unknown. Was persistent and lasted for 8 to 9 months! Absolutely a terrible rash.. Even antibiotics didn't phase it! Only cryotherapy finally killed it! After it finally subsided, it left a multitude of unsightly round, brown scars on my shins and calfs. I have applied this product daily, before bedtime, and it has worked wonders for me. Promoted new skin growth, as the coated area remains moist and plyable. Many scars have completely disappeared and others are being diminished in size. Brown scars turn to pink (as new skin growth is stimulated) and then diminish in size until they're gone!
What more could one ask from any skin ointment product?? This is GREAT stuff! Buy it with confidence!!
