The Willows In Winter
I bought this film expecting it not to measure up to The Wind In The Willows by Grahame, but was surprised by the excellent sequel. The match to the underlying themes were excellent. The film was done in an exemplary manner, true to the original. Adventure, fun, frolic, humor and pathos all come together for an entertaining and enlightening time of family or individual viewing. I highly recommend it for all ages!

The Wind In The Willows
1 of 1 found this helpful The Wind In The Willows is an adventurous, action packed film full of fun, pathos, and relationships showing both the worthy and the unworthy characteristics of a group of friends. This film is based on an excellent, well written, easy to read story for all ages. Given to me when I was a child, I only read part of it, since my interest was limited to dogs and horses. Sixty years later I am amazed by the entertaining way Grahame presents the lasting truths (e.g. good manners, ethics, morals) in such a simple and memorable way. I watched the film before reading the book, which I also purchased and just finished reading. The screen writers and cartoonists have stayed true to the author's story and characterizations. They have portrayed the emotions of the individuals in an excellent vocal and pictorial manner. This is a heartwarming tale of friendship and faithfulness. I highly recommend it to all parents and grandparents to view with their youth and then talk with them about the values the film presents for building into our lives. It definitely can be viewed many times over to the delight and enlightenment of the viewer.
