Good delivery, good price, but a slight issue with the part number / information. Partly buyer's fault.
The only reason it did not get 5 stars is actually at least partly my fault. For this SPECIFIC part (Dell PERC H700) there are, I have since learned, two versions. One is an "Adapter" and one is an "Integrated" model. The "Integrated" model is only used in a certain configuration with a riser card, and is not intended to be used as a direct interface between the PCI bus and the SAS backplane.
This part (0HCR2Y) appears to be the "Integrated" version and I need the "Adapter" version.
The result is that only the first four drive slots operate; I get an error message about the 2nd SAS cable (Cable B) not being attached. I had the same result with another H700 Integrated, when I did further research and learned the distinction.
