Not The Best
1 of 2 found this helpful This system is not really what it is advertised to be and there are other issues:
First it is listed as an ebb and flow system. There is no way for this to actually operate as ebb and flow because the growing solution will always be at a fixed level due to the design of this system. Ebb and flow means the water fills the grow channel and then it drains. The grow chamber in this unit will never drain. It will always be at least 1/3 to 1/2 full since the drain hole is half way up the side of the grow chamber. They list being able to turn something up or down to make it ebb and flow or a circulating system. There is nothing to turn up or down anywhere in this unit.
The timer that comes with it is all printed in Chinese so you have no idea what you are setting the dial to. You also cannot plug it in here in the USA because it comes with a foreign plug and no adapter.
I totally redesigned the system using some of the supplied parts. That was a bit of a challenge due to the fact that the pipe and fittings are metric and your local hardware store will not have metric fittings.
In the end, I am using the grow chambers but not as intended. I think there are much better options available on ebay or elsewhere if you are looking to try hydroponics.
