Power to run the 16" inch bar
2 of 2 found this helpful I haven't used the saw a lot but it did an excellent job making two complete cuts through a 24 inch diameter tree, a bunch of small (4 to 8 inch) and four ten inch trees. The safety shut-off worked the way it was supposed to when I accidentally hit a piece of fencing. Gas chain saws have always given me fits and won't start after sitting idle through the winter...I don't think I'll ever have that problem with this saw.
