Logan's Run - one of the best sci-fi films around
This little film set a new standard with its release. How technology and a "don't worry about the details, we're taking care of it" lifestyle can blind society to the truth. The performances are good though perhaps not great, but the greatness of this film is in the message. Unplug your iPod, watch this film, then ask yourself what's really important.

Teens with jets against the adults
Its a film from 1986 so it is what it is. Fun if you like older films and the writing and acting that they provide. Especially from those "teens against adults" genre.

Nothing too serious
When I first saw ffolkes (1979) in the cinema I was struck by the manner and directness of Roger Moore's interpretation of Rufus Excalibur Ffolkes I was reminded of a few friends. The film is fun, over-acted, especially by Anthony Perkins, and good for popcorn sales. It may not be your cup of tea (or scotch) but no matter.
