Daiwa Lexa-LC 6.3:1 Line Counter Baitcast Right Hand Fishing Reel - LEXA-LC400H
    Feb 08, 2021
LC400H is a great addition to my quiver for SoCal inshore fishing
I've got two other Lexa reels (300 and 400) and use them both regularly. Reliable and good value. I'm inshore fishing in the Los Angeles area. Depths frequently exceed 100', sometimes to 300'+ for rockfish. This line counter model of the Lexa 400 was bought to help with the deeper fishing. So far I am impressed. It fishes like the normal 400 with little extra drag from the line counter. Casting is decent, OK for normal shallower water bass fishing. The line counter is reasonably accurate, within 5% or so but will depend on line diameter on the spool as it measures spool revolutions, not the line directly. Recommended for deeper water and probably for trolling later in the season when the pelagics arrive.
NITECORE TM06S CREE XM-L2 U3 LED Compact Flashlight (4000 Lumens)

Very, very bright flashlight but a strange form factor
This is a very, very bright, broad-beam light. It needs 4 18650 batteries, and they must be fresh for it to work right. The form factor is a bit strange, stubby and for big hands. I like it as an addition to other less bright but adjustable-beam lights.
    3M Peltor EEP100 Electronic Earplugs - Green

    The best active earplugs
These are the best active earplugs, and an excellent value. You can still have a conversation but high sound (like hammer blows) is cut off instantly.
