Good quality on a budget
Nice construction for the price and nice quality sound. Excellent low budget speaker system. Compared to the powered Behringer 12" speakers these are a little more balanced in frequency range but are just as efficient and put out the same SPL as the Behringer. Where the Behringer is very harsh in the midrange, these Star Audio speakers are much warmer and very natural sounding across the frequency range. I ran the amplifier to just under the clip light and did not notice any distortion or "crapping out" like other Class D amplifiers. I like the SD card reader for playing music and the built in FM radio tuner could be handy, too. I cannot figure out how the USB slot works since it will not recognize mp3 files on a flash drive but the SD card does, so that's okay. Note on SD card reader, it does not recognize file folders - only the mp3 files so if you have your files in a bunch of folders, the card reader is just going to open all of them and put them in alphabetical order. The passive speaker is equally as nice for sound quality, but the off-brand Speakon connectors on the included speaker cable are a little flimsy and don't lock into the connectors very well. Solution is to just get a speaker cable with original Neutrick Speakon connectors, and all is well. The included mini tripod stands are okay but I wouldn't trust them to not tip over in a high foot traffic area so get yourself a full size set of tripod stands for safety. The speaker system alone is worth the money. The included tripods and speaker cable are disposable, in my opinion.

Excellent paging speaker
This Dukane speaker is essentially an Atlas PD-30 painted beige, with a Dukane sticker on it. That's okay. Atlas is top shelf stuff and since this Dukane is an Atlas model, the parts are interchangeable with Atlas products in the same product line. You can even unbolt the back of the horn and take the driver assembly and mount a conventional throat from another Atlas driver and set it up to accept a variety of paging horns with the standard thread mount.

Quality build, for what it is.
This device may come from China but they are doing half decent workmanship these days. I think this turntable is really good quality for the money and would recommend it to anyone looking for a way to play vinyl. Also comes with a spare stylus. The line out jacks appear to have the RIAA emphasis figured in so you shouldn't have to use your old "phono" input. Just use a standard line input to get its signal into your audio system.
