Why Isn't the Original Film Available?
It's ironic that THIS inferior filmed version of the John Knowles classic is readily available on DVD, when the original, far superior movie is still floating around in obscurity. These distributors need to get it together and make the good films available, and stop wasting time on stuff that people don't really want.

2 Excellent Westerns
Both films star the great Leonard Mann, and feature a great dramatic story to accompany the gun violence action scenes. The Italians did this the best, and these similar movies are a fine example. The missing star is not because of the movies themselves, but the quality of the prints they used. Originally shot in 2;35 "scope" format, they are presented here in only !;85 ratio, which is not accurate. And the prints are washed out and just not the best quality. Plus they have condensed both films onto one disc. You would expect more for this price. These titles deserve the fully restored Bluray treatment..until then, this edition serves it's purpose.

Don't be Duped
1 of 1 found this helpful Don't be fooled by the disclaimer of "restored version!" This schlock company Film Detective has simply put out the same old 4x3 washed out VHS transfer that has been circulating for years. It's a shame that they write on the package that it is restored. I hope i can save someone from buying the same title again in hopes of getting a better copy. "Tattoo Connection" is such an awesome piece of cult cinema. Hopefully someday it will get the release it deserves...but it's NOT this one.
