Very impressive
I am very impressed with both the quality and sound of this instrument. I use to base my decision on brand name and had the impression Pearl was low end. I had bought a Pearl snare as well as other hardware and have been impressed. I researched this kit prior. I could tell immediately that this was a very quality product.

Perfect Solution for Sound Control
1 of 1 found this helpful I have this on a Gretsch snare that I always liked. I purchased it to put on the snare of my working kit that I play out with the most and absolutely love it. I play a variety of styles in a variety of venues along with a variety of bands, small and large. During a typical gig I am taking on and off muffle rings, moon gels and sometimes even placing my wallet on the snare if I'm playing in a loud room
After installing this all I have to do is either tighten or loosen the muffler as I move from playing brushes, to jazz and then to latin where I need a sustained open sound. I plan on purchasing another one.
