Pikmin for Gamecube

This is a fun, child-friendly game in which a stranded space traveler befriends and names strange and friendly creatures on an unknown planet. These beings help the spaceman find parts to repair his ship. Along the journey, the spaceman grows more Pikmin and he puts them to work tearing down obstacles and fighting predators. There is a great storyline with the game. It has good music and is very clever. There are maps and the Sun moves throughout the day, so you know when it is almost time to go back to the ship. I originaly bought this game for my oldest son, when he was around 9. It was stolen during a household move. I bought it aghain for my 6 year-old boy's birthday, last month. I enjoy the Mario-type games that have little-to-no violence, but are fun to play with your kids. Pikmin falls into this category. It is fun, but can be frustrating for young children. As I mentioned, the younger ones will require help, but they can work on their reading at their own speed. Have fun! He has some trouble reading the narrative and following the strategy, but with help, still enjoys playing.

Great Router - Saved our Sanity!

We had recently switched our internet service at our home. During the quarantine, we had two of our three kids home with us, plus a friend who was stuck here after college spring break. So, 3 university students, me and my wife, needing to use the internet. Classes, Continuing Education webinars for me, taxes and other business things. Games, streaming. Everyone else online. Our internet demands were too much. A friend suggested the Nighthawk. Wow! What a difference! It lightning fast! Works great! The only thing I did NOT like was the set up. It was NOT just plug and play to get it working. But, I would buy again.

Voyager PRO NOT as good as older models.

I've owned a few different Plantronics models and the cheaper ones work better. The sound for the Voyager Pro is a bit crisper. But, unlike the Plantronics Voyager 500s or 300s, it doesn't fit in the ear or stay there. It's much harder to place around the ear than the older models. Also, I can listen to my iPhone in a dock that connects it to my stereo. WIth the Pro, once it is on, the stereo will only play through the earpiece. WIth the old models, the Bluetooth was on, but it let the phone play like normal. With both, when a call comes in, the mp3 player portion on the iPhone stops to allow the call to be answered. The dog chewed my Pro, so I'm going back to the older models.
