Drop dead gorgeous sound!
I always wanted a K and playing this proves I was right. It's dark but not too trashy or china-like. Just complex, musical and very sensitive. My medium thin still has the ability to open up with just the tip of my 5b's if I want it too. I'll need to get a 17 and 18-inch when I have the money. I hate the K customs but love the K's. Be aware the thin (my first choice) will be a little higher pitched so if you're worried about the "darkness" that gives you an option. I don't think it's too dark, but always consider the room you're in...very different based on your surroundings! Tim

Great soft bag
As with anything quality you'll pay a little more but enjoy the benefits. Seems very well constructed and the unique shape is perfect for allowing the mounting hardware enough room. There is plenty of "give" to make fitting it easy to your drums. If it came with a shoulder strap I'd give it 5 stars but this is a solid 4.5!
