Garmin nuvi 255W Car GPS Receiver

The unit that I purchased is a refurbished unit with a new guarantee. So far so good. It is not equipped with the bluetooth and mp3 music features but that's fine for my purposes. Screen resolution is very good but washes out some in bright sun. Data entry is intuitive and well managed by the software. The audio announcements are crisp and clear even with my mild hearing problem. Haven't used it much and probably haven't found all the bells and whistles but I find it annoying that it will not allow me or anyone in the vehicle to make route adjustments while the vehicle is moving, e.g., inserting way points. The second screen after turn-on makes me raise my right hand and swear that I will not fiddle with it while driving. Oh, well. The mounting gadgets are simple and stable. Over all, I can recommend this particular model if you're looking for a basic unit without the frills. The price was right if you're willing to venture down the refurbished route. Happy navigating.
