Sleek workhorse laptop, lots of storage and memory
1 of 1 found this helpful This laptop is lightweight, fast and powerful has lots of storage and was easy to use and update.
Laptop was a great deal for the price. It came with 8GB of memory plus 16 GB of Intel Optane for effective total memory equivalent of 24 RAM.
I use Microsoft Office, the Norton Internet Security Suite and Adobe Creative Suite with no problems with speed or storage.
I am not a gamer, so I've never tried games with it.
When I first received it, I updated the bios using Lenovo Vantage, after adding the Lenovo app.
I was careful to add the Lenova Optane file to prevent the laptop from shutting down during the bios update. This is critical but the Internet has lots of advice on this topic.
The one flaw is that to power the laptop up to turn the laptop on requires holding down the power button for 5 to 10 seconds sometimes.
Every now and then, upon startup or after it goes to sleep, I get a message that it needs to reboot. But it always comes back up and works like a charm.
I particularly love having an intel i-7 Generation 8 processor, something that is much more expensive than the $500 I paid for this as a refurbished unit.
So count me as a satisfied owner.

Great product, easy install

Link and license key arrived almost immediately after payment on a Friday night.
Download link was easy to cut and paste to flash drive.
License key was included, and worked just great.
You have to follow Microsoft instructions to set up bootable media, which you get when you click on the upload link.
And you have to start the install process to get a prompt to create that media.
Once that media is created, just stick it in your computer and restart - turn off and back on.
Once you have used the license key and installed Windows 10 Pro, REMOVE the flash drive and restart the PC.
The rest of the setup will commence.
