1995 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera
3 of 3 found this helpful The 993 was the last of the air-cooled Porsche models that began in 1948 with the first 356. It was introduced in 1995, which was the last year of the OBD1 engine management systems. '96-'98 993s had OBD2 systems and were prone to certain computer system clitches, although they were slightly more powerful.
I had wanted a 911 or Carrera or whatever they have been called at the time for over 40 years. I finally found the one I want on eBay. It has relatively higher mileage, at 78k, than I thought I wanted but this car is perfect. It also has many upgrades and options that I really wanted.
This is my third Porsche, as I once owned a 914, and I still own a 968, which is the last of the front-engine Porsches. They are wonderful cars and the '95 993 Carrera is awesome.
Porsche -- There is no substitute.

Oldie But Goodie
1 of 1 found this helpful When Apple killed the iPods I freaked. WHAT? Why? IPhones took their place? I don't care, I love iPods. This iPod is my 3rd Classic but my first gen 6. My first 2 wound up stolen. Don't ask.
I shopped eBay and found this one that seemed OK at not an exorbitant price. I was a little skeptical but it isn't too beat up and it works great. Smooth, easy operation. Good sound, but I almost always have it connected to a system, either in the car or plugged into a home amplifier. Did I mention I love iPods? Good.
