Say goodbye to wandering arc.
I was having trouble getting a good point on my 1/16" tungsten to run my Lincoln Square Wave 175 on thin aluminum. I normally use a Harbor Freight diamond circular saw sharpener with all of the accessories removed for the job but at very low amperage I was just getting to much arc wander. After reading a few forums, I decided to give this stuff a try.
It's pretty easy. I already had a small propane torch and a striker handy, so I just keep them all together and sharpen multiple pieces of tungsten at once.
Simply fire up the torch, heat the tungsten up till the point is red, and dip the tip in carefully. Spend a little bit of time dipping and letting it react and you can work it to whatever point you need.
I do recommend taking a piece of scotch brite to it to get the remainder of the chemical off the point of the tungsten. It can take several minutes to do several pieces, but it works well and is far more consistent than the diamond wheel. Someday I'll get a dedicated tungsten grinder, but for now this will do the trick for the thin stuff.

Great shocks and well worth $69 apiece.
After beating around in my conestoga wagon (1983 F-250) for years after a 4 wheel drive conversion, I had about had it with the rough leaf spring ride. I ordered some F-350 spring mounts, and a set of 12" Bilstein 5100 (5125s). These made a huge difference in ride quality, and the truck is firm and level going around corners. The 255/70 valving seems pretty well suited for a heavier 3/4 or 1 ton truck after a few days seat time. This truck serves as a daily driver and a weekend wheeler, and judging from how it handles the bumps I've taken it over I fully expect the offroad experience to be much better too.
