good if you're sensitive to scented products, and pump dispenser is convenient
I am using this particular brand for my hair shampoo only because of a household member's off-scale hypersensitivity to most scents, perfumes, petrochemicals, etc. There are other basic shampoos that are much cheaper, so it's only a "good value" in regard to needing a shampoo/body wash that is truly hypoallergenic. I haven't used the pump dispenser yet, so don't know how well that will work, but assuming it functions ok, then that is a nice convenience if one has a bench in the shower where it the full gallon container could sit. I'm giving four stars instead of five because I'm not sure the price tag is a decent reflection of the production and distribution costs. However, I also consider that their emphasis on a more environmentally friendly product may incur some extra manufacturing costs, and thus maybe less of the hidden costs to us in the form of environmental degradation. Welcome to planet Earth in 2021.

coarse particle size but still works ok
About the only real difference between these crushed bentonite clay litter products is the particle size, the amount of dust, addition or absence of a scent, and the price per pound. The Special Kitty product is very low dust, and was the cheapest per pound I could find on the day I did my search. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that the particle size is more coarse, which makes it take longer to pass through a typical sifting scoop, and requires some more jiggling to speed up the sifting. I don't know if the milling process takes longer or somehow is less profitable than producing the finer-grained version, or if there are lots of people who actually like the coarse grind. If the price stays competitive I'll probably order more.

doubling up for extra relief
Mine is an unusual special case. I swapped out a single phase, 3HP, 230 volt motor on my air compressor for a 3 phase, 3HP, 230 volt motor so that I could use a variable frequency drive/control (VAC) that would allow programming in an acceleration time with each startup to create a "soft start" effect. All to prevent the big inrush current to the motor windings from causing a major line voltage drop in my off-grid solar system. The problem with this cold start valve was that it did not allow enough venting relief to allow the VFD to function properly and have the motor ramp up successfully. So I installed a tee fitting and added on a high flow version of the valve, and that solved the problem; the two of them together provide enough relief for the motor to spin up over the 5-second acceleration time. I'm assuming this approach could also work with single phase compressor motors that struggle with cycling
startups.
