Simple Kit
Was kind of disappointed with the detail of this kit. Its been awhile since I purchased a Hasegawa kit and I was expecting a more detailed Hubble Telescope and Shuttle. The kit could stand for some photo etch parts to add better detail to the Hubble Telescope.

Great romanic comedy
Great movie to watch with your wife. Watched this twice on HBO and had to have it for my DVD collection. A must have if your into romantic comedy. I also don't like to give away the plot, so if you want to learn more about the movie go to Amazon.

Awesome Combination
What I really like about the CX-A5100 Pre-amplifier is that it has Balance Outputs as well as two Balance outputs for the Subwoofer. I prefer Balance, because it is better, stronger and cleaner signal between devices. You can also use your iPad, iPhone and Android device to control the CX-A5100 which is really cool. The YPAO multipoint measuring system is pretty darn close, which measures the distance, phase, delays and angle of the speakers, but I still did a few adjustments using the waterfall analyzer software. It has very advanced base management and HDMI Input/Output that supports HDCP 2.2 for copy protected 4K Video, 33 DSP modes, isolation feet and is a Networking Processor, which in my opinion I will never use except for firmware updates, but others will love this. The firmware update for DTS:X and MusicCast may be difficult for some, because the manual isn’t very clear on this. If you go toYamaha’s website and under Products select Audio & Visual, select CX-A5100, select the support tab and under FAQs you’ll see CX-A5100 Firmware Update Instructions as well as the CX-A1500 Firmware Update Version 1.77 that you can put on a USB drive if you want, I did mine via WiFi. Also maybe YouTube may have a video on updating the firmware for the Yamaha CX-A5100 or a similar product of Yamaha such as their A/V Receivers. The only downfall of the CX-A5100 is that there is no S-video input/output, which I need for my Laser Disc Player, so I’ll have to get a separate processor/line doubler that has an S-Video input and HDMI output. In conclusion, I love this Pre-amp and highly recommend it, it sounds natural and lively and I’m glad that Yamaha once again came out with separates.
The MX-A5000 is a heavy beefy amplifier with a large Toroidal Transformer for the power supply that adds to the weight of this unit. It has 11 Balance inputs as well and is rated at 150 watts per channel, but I heard it will go higher. The downfall of the MX-A5000 is that the inputs and outputs are not labeled as the outputs are on the CX-A5100 is, so make sure you label each of your inputs and outputs so you won’t be confused. A word of advise you should never stack anything on top of an Amplifier, it needs to breath, in other words it will become hotter and DO NOT SWITCH THE IMPEDANCE ON THE BACK OF THE AMP THIS IS FOR UL CERTIFICATION, IF YOU DO IT WILL STARVE THE AMPLIFIER OF POWER. In conclusion I love this Amplifier, since it does not add any distortion to the signal and has enough power to drive my Klipsch Reference Series II speakers.
