Canon 24-104 f/L is the finest lens Canon has ever made!

The Canon 24-105 f/4L IS USM is by far the finest lens Canon has ever made, whether it is in EF, EF-S, or RF, bar none. I have owned both the EF/EF-S version and the RF version and they are both superior performers to any lens I have ever owned. If you don't have one, buy one. You will not regret it.

PETAL CROWN LENS HOOD SHADE FOR CANON EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM EW-83G WHITE

Good Idea Badly Executed

I loved the idea of a lens hood that matched the color of my Canon 28-300mm Lens, so I purchased this lens hood and really liked the appearance when I unpackaged the product. I then tried to mate this hood to my lens and found that the fit was VERY tight and I had to use some effort to get the hood to snap into place. To my horror, I could not get the hood off of my lens. I was almost ready to destroy the hood to remove it from my lens but with a great deal of effort, it finally popped off. Bummer. After examining the lens I decided that the tolerances were probably too tight so I used some sandpaper to take the grey finish off of the inside track where the retainer groove accepts the lens. I also took the gray paint off of the backside of the lens hood. The lens then seated OK but the two retainer clips that snap into place when the lens locks and unlocks popped out of their slots. At this point, I gave up. I may have received a manufacturing defective product here but buying another would be a risk. I cannot recommend this product.
