3 of 3 found this helpful At first, I wondered if I should have bought a gps which had voice recognition. The nuvi 42 LM does not have it. However, for my use, it was not worth the extra money. I am completely happy to enter an address into "favorites"
manually.
Weaknesses -- maybe there is a solution I have not found: 1) As you arrive at a "go to" destination, I wish the house address appeared on the screen. In that way you would not have to remember if the house 100 ft. away
on the right or left is the house you want. 2) When I enter a new address into "Favorites", I have to backtrack
(arrow back) and start over in order to put in the phone number via "edit". I'm not sure if that is my problem or
a Garmin nuvi 42 LM issue. Otherwise, I really like this gps. One aspect I really like is when I am at an address,
I can see if there are other addresses in the immediate area listed in my "Favorites".
