Arduino Uno R3 Microcontroller A000066

Great Product

This is my first encounter with Arduino and so far it's been a pleasant experience. The board worked perfectly and is better quality than I expected. I find the silk screened connector pins (on the connectors themselves besides being also on the board) useful. The only negative thing I can say is I think the USB connector should be a mini-USB instead of the clunky full size. It takes up space needlessly.

MSD 8224CR GM DIS 2-Tower Coil Pack (FR)

Used in JD 400 tractor retrofit

I purchased this coil as a substitute for a very expensive John Deere ignition coil for a Model 400 tractor which sells for $251. NOTE: this is by no means a bolt in replacement and requires remounting and rewiring of the ignition system plus the addition of an RU4 ballast resistor. However once installed this coil produces a 3/4" spark! The tractor runs beautifully now. Plus if it were to fail in the future for any reason, replacement is now easy and low cost. I'm sure in the normal application for which it was intended, it would perform perfectly as well.
