Great design but bitmap lines distracting
I've always loved this design, but wished that Sock It To Me would offer it in black and white, as well (it's currently only offered in light-blue on navy). Okay, so the sky may not actually be black, but b & w seems to me an obvious alternative for a sock related to astronomy, anyway! I finally decided I'd go ahead and get a pair of the blue.
The usual Sock It To Me quality is there (they're partly cotton,have a nice feel, stay up, and wash fine), but I was disappointed to see that, in person, it's obvious that the constellations are bitmap images, as they have the characteristic rough, segmented lines. I don't know if Vector images can be used on socks, but if so it would make for smooth, straight lines that look much better. Nonetheless, the design reads well from a distance and has the advantage of still being recognizable even when just glimpsed between pant leg and shoe - something else I wish sock designers would try for more often. We're not all twentysomething women wearing them with mini-skirts!

Handy alternate to regular sponge
These are very handy when you just want to quickly wash something and don't want to bother putting gloves on, or have something a little deep to reach into. I use them to clean my coffee pot, and, with normal handling, they don't scratch it. The non-scratch pad can be applied to dishware, etc. with more force to remove stubborn lingering food, although I find that a 5-min.+ soak in hot water and soap is the easiest way to accomplish that. The tip and sides of the dishwand are plain sponge,when you don't want any abrasion. For glassware other than my coffee pot and non-stick pans, I usually use a regular sponge, though.

Glowing review; glow in the dark!
Sock It To Me is a quality "funky sock" manufacturer. They produce really interesting designs, their socks stay up and wear well, they have many socks that are cotton blend, with more cotton than nylon/polyester, etc., and the company is reliable, easy to work with, and WOMEN-OWNED!!
I do wish they'd do more graphic designs, especially in black and white. Many of us wear black pants, right? And I've gotten a little tired of cute animals (sometimes doing funny things), although I've enjoyed wearing those designs, too. The creatures are illustrated in a sophisticated (vs. cute) way, and the resulting design is conveniently non-gender-specific, so you can gift anyone with them. These are my third pair of these socks; I wore the first pair so relentlessly that I wore them out, and decided to get two pairs to rotate.
