Inexpensive and works well
Does exactly what its supposed to. Great for serrations and knives with recurves, but works on regular knives as a field-expedient solution. Out of the box the grit is maybe a little coarser than my high-quality 300 grit diamond stone, but produces good, usable working edges. That grit might become a bit finer as I use it more, as is typical with diamond sharpeners. Cap is only held in by friction, but the fit is pretty tight so I don't see it coming apart unintentionally. Rubber overmold on the cap stops it from making noise when stored together with other objects as well. Only complaint I could really come up with is that the clip could be a bit better- the one on it is a fairly flimsy feeling plastic clip, and a wire clip would be better. Not a major issue at all though.
