Amazingly brilliant on either a 1.5 volt simple, or 3.7 volt rechargeable battery
1 of 1 found this helpful I like this small flashlight so much, that I bought 6 of 'em. These "Cree" element illuminators beat the previous dim led light emitting elements/bulbs. The intensity/brilliance of the Cree elements is amazing. The Cree headlamp is also amazing. I've got 3 of them. I've got fading vision and these Cree lamps are a god send.

THE CREE ILLUMINATOR MAKES EVERY OTHER KIND OF LED LIGHT OBSOLETE
I have failing vision. This brilliant light has made a huge difference in my life. I have now bought 3 of them, 10 batteries and the Nite Core charger. Both the light and charger far exceed my expectations. I have gone back to riding my bicycle in darkness with the headlamp lights the way perfectly.
