These things don't help much. -90 dBm minimum signal at your site is recommended. That signal is equivalent to 3-4 bars on most cell phones, which makes the device totally unnecessary. You'll get UP TO 20 dB of improvement within 12 feet of the indoor antenna IF you keep the outdoor antenna coax length as short as possible. Forget "4000 sq ft coverage" in 1-2 bar environments. It's more like 400 sq ft.
