Excellent
Great range at an affordable price. Portable with sharp focus, excellent complement to the Contax Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 28-85mm F/3.3-4 Zoom Lens. The Vario-Sonnar T* 80-200mm f/4 zoom lens is really convenient; the image quality isn't quite as good as the fixed focal length 135mm, but it is fairly close. The 1:3.33 macro function (at 200mm) is an added bonus. It is a great lens for isolating subject matter in architecture and landscape photography. It's also a convenient portrait lens and the close-up focusing at 200mm allow for 1:3.33 macro as well. The zoom control is an old-fashioned push/pull action with a focus grip, unlike the modern rotating ring-style zooming of many AF lenses. The aperture ring (f/4-f/22) has stops at full apertures and at f/4 you will need as much light as possible albeit at an affordable price.
