Forbidden Hollywood Volume Two
When this collection first came out years ago, I didn't buy it when I had the chance and when it was out of print I couldn't afford to pay the prices being asked for even the used sets. I was skeptical about buying this new collection because of the price and also because it is an mod product. Well I caved in and bought it and cannot praise the product more. The five films are in excellent condition and play beautifully. Also included is a film about what went on in the five years before the production code went into effect in 1934 and two of the films have amusing and informative narratives you can listen to as well Shearer, Blondell, Dvorak, early Davis, Chatterton and Stanwyck in pre-codes, with early Clark Gable in two of them as a heavy, what more could you ask for?

1 of 1 found this helpful This is one of my favorite all time television shows and I soon will have collected the entire series. Having watched it from the time it was originally broadcast and the edited reruns broadcast over the years I can almost always remember who the murderer is as soon as the episode starts but that never spoils the fun or enjoyment for me. Great writing, acting, directing etc. And of course the excellent quality of the dvds themselves. Highly recommended.

We Were Dancing
I bought this because it is the next to last film Norma Shearer ever made. I had seen it years ago and knew it wasn't particularly funny but I wanted it because I'm one of those people that thinks she was wonderful. The film of course has all the expected production values of an A production from MGM in their glory days and the MOD copy itself is excellent and plays perfectly on my old laptop.
