A perfect replacement
The cable was a perfect replacement for the original except it wasn't frozen in its outer cable. It worked perfectly and was simple to replace.

The only way to go
If cheap batteries are put into a camera they will be gone in an afternoon. When these are put in that same camera they will go a year. That's just how it is.
