question: How I can clean the unit.out?

I have used this product before and wanted to reorder. The last order that I received was misplaced somehow. Someone obviously had no idea what it was and threw the extra light and c=sticky cards away. That happens from time to time around here. My question is how do you clean out the bottom of the unit where the light and card are inserted? I have tried to loosen the screws to pull the unit apart, but no success.
