Bulge Helps protect the wheels.
I used these on a 1966 Mustang with styled steel wheels. OEM lug nuts for these wheels don't have the bulge. Without the bulge, it is possible for a socket to gouge the wheels around the perimeter of each lug nut whenever the lugs are tightened or loosened. These bulged nuts work much better to prevent scoring. I would recommend them for anyone with a similar application. They have only been on for a week. They seem like good quality, but time will tell if the chrome plating holds up to the elements over time.

Nice hanguard; Modification required for Ruger AR556
Nice handguard. Has good feel to it. Easy installation. I discovered that it requires modification to fit a Ruger AR556 due to Ruger's unique front sight. I had to cut out a small section with a dremel tool. A hacksaw would also work, if you don't have a dremel tool. I then touched up the cut with a little black paint. Now it fits perfectly and looks great.

Perfect for Crosman Trigger Improvement
Perfect size for trigger improvement on Crosman Nitro air rifle. It effectively reduces the trigger travel to provide better groupings. I initially used washers to do the same thing, but using a bearing produces a mush smoother pull. Recommended improvement.
