Good basic True RMS POWER Clamp Meter
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a POWER clamp meter (Model HP-870P) which is the sibling to it's more general clamp meter (the HP-570N). Both are similar in construction, made of hard plastic with no rubber shock-resistant/comfortable parts. The clamp is quite still to operate and is of the Hall Effect variety, hence it's ability to measure AC and DC currents.
Both clamp meters measure True RMS and the HP-870P Power Clamp Meter measures AC/DC voltage, current and AC frequency. You will need a Line Splitter with meter access points to measure Active Power, Reactive Power, Apparent Power and Power Factor, as you need to clamp the meter to the line splitter and also use the leads from the meter to plug into the Line Splitter to make these measurements. In the UK, CEF sell a decent Line Splitter for about £50.
This meter doesn't measure some of the stuff that more expesive meters do, like Harmonic Distortion etc. but it does a good job on the basics. I can recommend the HP-570N if you need a more general clamp meter).

A very funny and clever book - as with all Dav Pilkey books
Dav Pilkey has withdrawn this book from publication because it contains offensive material to certain people in society. I wanted to buy the book before is disappears from existence to find out what this material could be. I read the whole book and wondered what the offensive material could be because I couldn't find any.
I'm a pacifist and I find it offensive that the book contains open violence against another person. Maybe that's what he was thinking of. But all his other books contain graphic violence chapters too (Flip-or-rama) and so he'd have to withdraw all his books if that were the case.
Was it the wise old Kung-fu master who pronounced his words of wisdom to the two cave men? If that's the case then my love of the old "Kung Fu" series starring David Carradine should be banned too. But personally I found the old masters to be the best part of the series and the violence to be the worst.
So what is it that is so offensive that this book deserves to be banned? Frankly I'm at a loss to understand why.
What should be banned is Western films showing guns, shootings, insane violence, jingoistic, gung-ho propaganda that stereotypes other nations and turns people into enemies.
But none of this applies to this book. Whoever convinced Dav Pilkey that this book contains offensive material is mistaken and too sensitive for their own good. It's PC gone too far.

Classic movie
Well, I may be 37 years late but I'm glad I finally saw this film. Great blu-ray disc with lots of special features.
