Awesome Head unit

I had JVC head unit prior to this purchase. I thought about what the advantages and shortcomings were of that head unit and decided which features I wanted and didn’t care for. One was a volume knob. Being able to turn down the audio instantly was a must, and this one works great. The higher (2.5v) RCA signal output was a nice touch. The navigation works great. Its traffic updates are accurate and will display them in a list view and on the map. Spoken street names let me keep my eyes on the road and the lane assist makes sure I take the correct ramp at confusing sections of road. The SD card reader and MP3 playback are awesome features. I used my old receivers Sirius Sat receiver to connect to the new unit and it detected and worked just fine. I really like the touch screens operation. It’s easy to use with my large fingers and with a stylus. The screen is easily read in direct sunlight. the builtin BlueTooth is very clear and sync'd with my older phone quickly and easily. Despite JVC not being perceived as high a quality head unit as some other brands, the feature set and sound quality I have experienced with this unit are awesome at this price point. I’m buying a second one for my other car very soon.

Easy install

Easy install and looks good. I needed some six plastic body clips because my truck did not come with a valance. installation was intuitive and took only 5 minutes, which included finding the retaining clips.
