Great drama received in great condition--love it!
This has to be one of my all-time favorite Korean dramas, even though it is SO intense and emotionally draining at times. Ha Ji Won is such a good actress, as well as the other main actors. Even though it is tragic, and Chae-ohk is caught in a world where people are not judged by their personal worth and integrity as much as by what level of society they are born into, I love this drama. It is really sad that the world at that time (and NOT just Asia) was so hung up on circumstances of birth, that often some of the best people were slaves or commoners, and were not able to rise above their birth circumstances. This drama, in my opinion, is a must see. Even though I felt it was over-priced, I had to get the drama DVDs, because it is SO good. The love triangle is indeed an interesting and sad one, also, but I won't say more because I don't want to give anything away. The fight scenes are great, as well as the intense feelings exhibited by the characters (especially Chae Ohk, Hwang Bo, and Jang Sung-baek. I really liked Officer Lee's character and the other supporting actors. I'm glad they included the Leper colony in this drama,also, because it was a reality in most of the world at the time, and brings attention to what a devastating disease it was (and still is in parts of the world). I also bought the CD for the OST, and that is really outstanding as well. The music was an integral part of the drama. It conveyed adequately so many of the deep emotions held by the characters and the circumstances they were involved in. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS, if you haven't already! It is worth buying, as well.

Great product, but I found out I can get it locally for about 1/4 the price.

Fantastic drama "My Country' Review
Great drama. i really recommend it for drama lovers, esp. Korean drama lovers. The characters are very engaging. The original sound track for this drama is really great, too. Im ready to watch another historical drama of the same caliber.
