I'm glad I bought this.
3 stars means I got what I wanted and what I expected at a fair price. I am happy with my purchase and would do it again.
This item is the genuine Subaru part that would be installed by the dealer. The item is extremely easy to install, and in no way justifies the $57.00 installation fee that I was quoted. I watched an online video of the installation but my time would have been better spent just putting it in. A medium-sized flat-blade screwdriver would make it easier to slip the tabs in, but that's all you need. The protector will help to keep the seat-back cleaner, and itself will be easy to wipe down if necessary.

It matches the auto chrome perfectly, and actually improves the looks of the car.
