Apparent plug design change caused these not to work properly
10 of 10 found this helpful Apparently Apple changed the specs on the plug. The spacing on the rings are different than the original ones that I have, therefore, when you plug it into the Jack, the left channel sounds like it’s way off in the distance. If I pull the plug out very slightly, I can hear both channels clearly. I ordered 2 sets that were brand new and both sets of EarPods did the same on multiple devices that I tried them on.
