Easy way to extend ethernet across your home

If you need ethernet where you don't have CAT5 or CAT6 cable or you have a spot in your house where WIFI does not provide a good enough signal this may be the answer. Forget WIFI repeaters, extenders, amplifiers that may or may not work well. Much faster and more reliable than powerline adapters. 2 of these DECA units (you need at least 2 but can use more for multiple locations) may be the answer... if you have COAX in the location you need the access from. One unit connects to the coax in the room with your router or switch and the other in the location where you need the remote device connected or where you want to install another switch for multiple device connection. At less than $10.00 per unit it is much more economical than repeaters, etc and will provide a consistent, reliable 100Mbit ethernet connection...., great to distribute HD programming to a remote room/device. Caveats: * must have at least 2 - 1 for router/switch connection and another for each device or remote switch you want connected * cannot be used on the same coax that you have a cable or OTA signal on. * will coexist with SATELLITE but not with CABLE or OTA * will require a coax splitter (one that does not block signals less than 1MHZ (or 1000KHZ) - it should say on your coax splitter if it does - Directtv SWM splitters (Green label) work well * if you have cable or OTA signals make sure the coaxs you use for these devices do not connect with the other signals - use a dedicated splitter for your DECAs - keep the DECA signals from interacting with any OTA or Cable carrying coax
