Works great.
So far so good. Seems to work great. I make homemade cheese which requires temps to be fairly accurate or it messes up the whole batch. I've used serval other traditional style thermometers which are a little awkward. None of them show the same readings so I thought I'd try this type. This makes it much easier and quicker to keep an eye on the proper temps without pulling thermometers in and out of warm milk.

Hard to find - fits perfectly on older 5 gallon bottles
I had several old 5 gallon bottles with missing caps that I wanted to use to store emergency water for washing (not drinking). I did A LOT of searching to find similar bottles but seems they don't make this kind anymore. I stumbled on these caps which came in two sizes 53mm and these 48mm which was closest to the size of the tops of my bottles. Happy to find when they arrived that "they fit perfectly."
