Used for freewheel to cassette conversion
I was breaking and bending axles on an older freewheel based bike, so a conversion to a cassette based wheel will put an end to that. It worked perfectly as a drop in replacement (with added cassette of course). There are only two minor issues. The wheel didn't come with a rubber / plastic inner rim lining that goes over the spoke nipples to help protect the inner tube, so I had to wind some electrical tape around the inner rim. Also, when braking, I'm not getting the stopping power I had before and also compared to my unchanged front wheel that's still on there. Don't know if it's because the rims are too new and too slick or if I should try some different kind of brake pads.
