seems to do the job but it's very bulky
I chose this model because it doesn't require batteries so I figured could take it traveling. It's fairly accurate (compared against my digital scale) but it's just a bit larger than I expected.

finally found the covers that fit my thermometer
I probably didn't need 3 boxes of them, but the price was ok to have what I need to get my thermometer working. Unfortunately, they took a log time to arrive, so I almost didn't need them by the time they got here.
