Kenwood KR-A5070
This unit has desired features and clean, powerful sound. Not big and bulky, just a nice piece all around.

Could have done better
A nice compact unit. Hard to understand the manual. Getting it programmed is a trick. I paired it with a good antenna and it seems like twenty-five watts should do a little better. For the price I guess it is OK. I wish I had not been so enticed by cheap!

Olympus 541 digital voice recorder.
The sound quality is good. It is fairly easy to operate. Bigger would be nicer, but I am happy with it. Not just thrilled, but happy enough.
