Saxon Math 8/7

I like the Saxon program, especially with the Dive CD to explain all the Lessons and Math Concepts. It seems to take much longer than they estimate to complete the lessons though. It could be just the learning level/ability of the child. I know the paperback style is cheaper than the hardback book, but it seems like it won't hold up for multiple uses but we shall see. I would prefer the hardback book for the textbook. It is a very comprehensive program.
