Great prices.
I called Honda in Edmonton, Alberta. They wanted $36 for the gaskets and the float needles were $71 each.
Still in the package as I won't be installing for a few weeks yet but all looks good.

waterproof cable connector
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this and a similar one from another buyer. This one is a bit larger and also is well made and looks good for intended purpose of joining two cables together in a harsh environment. I was planning on using it to join up the cable from the generator on my RV to the cable that feeds back to the panel in the RV. This connection would be on the underside of our small Class C motor home and I fully intended to put it to use. I just had to decide which was better but did not end up using either as the factory cable on the new generator when it arrived was long enough that I was able to connect directly inside the RV.
I recommend this product for similar use.

Honda Shadow 500 spark plug upgrade
The NGK DPR8EIX-9 is the correct spark plug for the Honda Shadow 500, if you want to go to the Iridium upgrade. The small tip creates a hotter spark.
I got it because all the Honda Shadow 500 motorcycles were made from 1983 to 1986 which means the bikes are old and run lean from the factory so I wanted to give the engine a bit of a boost.
Typically Iridium plugs are twice the cost or more of a regular spark plug but I figure the hotter spark will help make up for tired coils or CDI's, just in case. The other benefit of the Iridium plugs is that they hold their correct gap much longer than the standard plugs so in theory they should last twice as long. It's all a trade off between the price of regular NGK plugs and these but to me I thought it was worth trying.
